Metzner DRS devices are suitable for feeding coiled goods such as cables or hoses with low tensile sensitivity to downstream processing machines. In combination with a feeding device, your cables are fed to the processing machine without tension.
The passive material unwinders of the DRS 1 series with double-bearing roller axis are suitable for unwinding spools, cable reels, stranded wires and hoses weighing up to 20 kg. The materials are tensioned in just a few steps.
Metzner DRS 2.850 — the practical solution for unwinding coiled materials such as cable rings, coils and corrugated tube coils. The spool outer diameter is freely adjustable by means of adjustable brackets, as is the spool width.
With the Metzner DRS 3.1000, Metzner offers a passive handling and unwinding device for cable reels up to 500 kg and 1000 mm outer diameter. An adjustable unwinding brake gently brakes the cable reel when the material feed is stopped and, in combination with the high-quality 2‑bearing unwinding axle, also ensures uniform unwinding behaviour. Thanks to the robust steel profile frame with lifting crank, the cable reels are picked up without much effort.
Passive unwinding device with mechanical brake for bobbins up to 850 mm diameter.
Passive unwinding device with mechanical brake for drum goods up to 500 kg.
The DRS range includes passive unwinders for spools and cable drums in various designs.
The unwinders are equipped with adjustable unwind brakes as standard.
The DRS range is suitable for coils, rings, coils and windings that are not sensitive to tension.
The material is fed to the processing machine with a feeder and sag control.
The DRS range offers a simple and cost-effective solution for material feeding.
